Union Conference in the Hague in 2018

This conference is the world’s largest gathering of doctors, nurses, scientists, policy makers, politicians and activists committed to improve global lung health. The event has a special focus on the challenges in low- and middle-income countries, as 80% of the 10 million deaths caused by lung diseases occur in developing countries.

The choice of the Hague as location for this conference in 2018 is very fitting, as it’s a city with a historic tradition of fighting for social justice. As 1.8 million people die each year of TB, a curable disease, means that many people do not have access to the right medicines. IDA believes this should be a human right!

In just under a month, IDA Foundation will be exhibiting at the 2017 Union Conference (11-14 October) in Guadelajara, Mexico.

For next year, we look forward to having a more prominent presence as one of the Dutch exhibitors in the Hague Union Conference in October 2018. Watch out for more Union/TB news on IDA’s social media channels! Everyone has the right to be #TBFree!
