IDA participates in UN Global Compact video
Amsterdam, 20 July 2021 - Earlier this year, IDA Foundation was invited to participate in the video series ‘Phases of the Global Goals’ created by the UN Global Compact Netherlands. IDA is a participant of UN Global Compact since 2018 and since then we have been redefining and shaping our strategy and short- and long-term goals to better align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Last year we published our first Communication on Engagement report, to share our efforts, plans and impact. This year we will publish the second edition, where we show the progress of the last year and focus more on the specific short- and long-term goals.
The ‘Phases of the Goals’ video series are meant to portray different companies and organisations that are UN Global Compact participants. All the organisations involved, are in a different phase of their sustainability journey, taking either small or big steps when it comes to sustainability. As IDA’s sustainability journey has just begun, we focus on the importance of having motivated employees that want to make a difference by joining different sustainability-related projects.
With IDA’s long-term strategic goals of achieving Universal Health Coverage, building Sustainable Value Chains, and increasing Local Capacity, we believe the SDGs are at the core of our mission, and are giving us guidance in our daily operations.
