Over 200 pallets with kits shipped to Afghanistan
Dubai, 23 July 2021 - As the situation in Afghanistan deteriorates, thousands of people are forced to flee their homes. Next to the COVID-19 pandemic, this poses a serious challenge for Afghanistan’s already weakened health care system, and it further increases the vulnerability of various groups such as refugees, women and children.
Last week, IDA Foundation supplied 228 pallets of kits to Afghanistan for WHO. The kits, which contain medical supplies and essential medicines, were loaded on two charter flights from our warehouse in Dubai. The WHO is working closely together with the Ministry of Public Health to distribute these supplies to health care facilities across the country and to make sure the supplies reach those who need it most.
IDA Foundation is ready to support WHO and other NGOs with more medical kits, essential medicines and medical supplies. For more information on our kits, visit our Kits page.
