HIV/AIDS

Prevention

Effective HIV prevention programs are essential to stop the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Besides offering preventive products such as male and female condoms, IDA also offers the following product kits to be used as HIV preventive measures:

Male Circumcision Kit
Some countries choose to scale up male circumcision as a method of HIV prevention. In order to support the WHO effort to increase the safety of this procedure, we have designed a kit that contains all necessary consumable and re-usable devices for male circumcision procedures. Here, you will find more information on the content of this kit. For more information on male circumcision check www.malecircumcision.org

Home-based Care Kit
Home-based workers need supplies for the care of people living with HIV/AIDS and for their own protection. The Home-Based Care kit contains essential healthcare products, such as painkillers, gloves and bandages.

PEP (Post-Exposure Prophylaxis)-kit
The PEP-kit contains supplies that reduce the risk of HIV infection, for use after sexual abuse or involuntary exposure to HIV. The kit contains a short-term antiretroviral treatment, a 1-step urine pregnancy test and post-sex contraception.
