Tuberculosis (TB) is one of the worlds most common and life threatening diseases. Treatment is difficult and requires long courses of multiple antibiotics. Multi-Drug Resistant TB (MDR-TB) is a form of TB that is difficult and expensive to treat and fails to respond to standard first line drugs.

As the exclusive procurement agent for the Global Drug Facility for the supply of second-line anti-TB drugs, IDA has supplied MDR-TB drugs to over 60 countries. We are a partner of the Stop TB Partnership.
